Country-Tique is seeing blue

The homeowners of this beautiful, newly built, Brookville Estate sought the help of the design team from Country-Tique Home Furnishings to plan and design a comfortable and elegant interior living space.
The inspiration for the overall color scheme, including fabrics for dining chairs, sofas, window treatments and wall coverings, as well as the bedroom furniture selections were based on the clients fondness for the color blue.
The large scale, magnificent white kitchen, with a grand mahogany center island and Calcutta marble tops is a focal point in this family's home. Country-Tique suggested the use of contrasting dark wood "X-ack" counter stools, adding upholstered seats for comfort and a touch of color.
The domestically made kitchen table, which extends, and the coordinating chairs were selected for their richness in color and deep wood tones. The lighting fixtures, wallpaper and fabrics for the seat cushions, window bench and window treatments were all selected by the client at Country-Tiques in-store fabric and wallpaper library.
With the family room conveniently located just off the kitchen, the clients wanted a comfortable seating area to gather and watch television. Country-Tique recommended a large L-shaped sectional sofa with room for the whole family to enjoy their evenings together. The use of the double tiered coffee table is well suited for the playing and storage of games and puzzles. The additional wing chair is a perfect choice for reading their favorite novel.
Stepping into the dining room, you are greeted by Country-Tique's custom-built, eleven foot solid French oak table, hand crafted in Europe. The complimentary soft blue upholstered chairs were selected with the clients color scheme in mind. Not pictured is a solid cherry, French sideboard, which completes this room and adds to its style as well as function.
Just outside the dining room is a sitting area. Country-Tique's designer, Judy Deutsch suggested the use of the four luxurious tufted leather chairs and circular ottoman, to serve as a perfect cozy place for entertaining and relaxing before or after dinner. The unique artwork was also chosen as a conversation piece and dramatic focal point for this space.
Walking through the double door entry foyer, you reach the family's intimate living room. The blue velvet sofa and silk window panels were chosen for their beauty and elegance. The coffered ceiling creates an inviting space along with the dark wood custom entertainment and library wall unit. This wall unit was fitted with sliding panel doors to conceal the television and components. The height and stained wood finish are a perfect fit adding depth and interest to the room.
On the second floor, the master suite and three additional bedrooms were all designed by Country-Tique to create spaces that reflect each family member's personal taste. The master bedroom includes a king-size romantic navy blue velvet sleigh bed with coordinating custom linens and window treatments. The nightstands, television console, armoire, chairs and sofa are all added amenities to help them feel pampered in their private retreat.
The girls' bedrooms are whimsical with floral wallpaper, white-washed Madison painted furniture, including dressers, nightstands, mirrors and armoires, all purchased through Country-Tique. The boy's room has a style all its own with a blue painted Baxter headboard and footboard and leather and wood furniture for a more masculine appeal.
The homeowners are thrilled with the comprehensive design project. They are enjoying the sophistication, comfort and elegance of their home designed by Country-Tique Home Furnishings.
